March 2011 Week 1 Commissary Trip

For all the military folk, the commissary is a great place to find deals. You do have to be careful when purchasing because on a lot of items I can use double coupons at other stores and that just doesn't happen at the commissary, but they have lower prices on a lot of name brand items and I can use coupons there. There are even military only coupons that I can take advantage of. This week, I found a lot of items that I normally buy at Sam's that were on sale or cheaper with coupons than anything I could have imagined at Sam's for the same product. Purchasing these bulk items definitely sent my savings percentage plummeting, but, overall, I saved more than I would have if purchasing at Sam's. So after gallavanting through the aisles with all the other irritated kids for 2-1/2 hours, 114 items, 76 coupons, and a dozen cookies later (thank God I remembered to put the in the backpack!), this is what we came home with:

Commissary (spent $168.11 saved $92.21)
